IPR News: Fish Tape, Magnet Wire, Shrimp

The International Trade Commission has recently announced the following actions in intellectual property rights infringement investigations that could affect imports of covered products. For more information on pursuing or mitigating IPR-related import restrictions, please contact STR.

Fish tape – issuance of limited exclusion order and cease and desist order against named respondent following final determination of Section 337 violation in investigation 337-TA-1442 of glow fish tape systems, safety helmet systems, and components thereof

Magnet wire – institution of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1527 of extrusion-coated magnet wire (complainants Essex Solutions Inc. and Essex Solutions USA LLC; proposed respondents located in China and the U.S.)

Shrimp – Section 337 infringement complaint filed on shrimp and products containing same from India (complainants Versaggi Shrimp Corp. and W&W Dock LLP; proposed respondents located in India, Germany, the Netherlands, and the U.S.); complainants seek first-ever ITC determination on whether forced labor is an unfair act and/or unfair method of competition under Section 337
