JERRY HANIFIN is a member of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., resident in the New York office. With more than 25 years experience in all aspects of trade compliance he concentrates his practice on helping companies manage global import and export risks.

Prior to joining ST&R Mr. Hanifin served for seven years as senior counsel for compliance for a major U.S. corporation, where he provided legal and regulatory advice on import/export, sanctions, and supply chain security matters. He assumed that role after running his own ethics and compliance consulting firm, which followed nearly ten years in senior trade compliance roles for other companies.

Mr. Hanifin is a member of the bar in New York and the District of Columbia, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, an M.A. in political science from the University at Albany, and a B.A. in European history from the University at Albany. He is also a licensed customs broker.
