ASHLEY BODDEN is an associate with Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A.
Ms. Bodden advises and represents clients on a broad range of customs and international trade matters, including tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin determinations, first sale programs, trade remedies, and preferential trade agreements. She also assists companies in navigating interactions with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, including administrative protests, binding ruling requests, audits, penalty proceedings, and mitigation matters. Ms. Bodden also represents companies in trade-related litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
In addition, Ms. Bodden counsels businesses on export controls and economic sanctions compliance, advising on licensing requirements, commodity jurisdiction and classification, advisory opinions, internal audits, and voluntary disclosures.
Prior to joining Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, Ms. Bodden practiced customs and international trade law with another firm after serving as a law clerk, where she developed extensive experience in regulatory compliance and international trade matters.
Ms. Bodden earned an LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law from American University Washington College of Law and a J.D. from New England Law Boston. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and England & Wales, and is admitted before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Ms. Bodden is an active member of the Customs and International Trade Bar Association, where she serves as Vice Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and the Association of Women in International Trade.
