AMY JOHNSON is an auditor for Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A. She has more than 15 years’ experience in the audit environment. 

Ms. Johnson’s career prior to joining ST&R was spent exclusively at U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Most recently she served as an assistant director within CBP’s Trade Regulatory Audit division, where she led a team of senior auditors in developing and conducting national initiatives to address importer compliance with U.S. tariffs and trade programs. She also increased enforcement outcomes, worked closely with high-level audiences within CBP and the White House, and collaborated with stakeholders across agencies.

Earlier in her time at CBP Ms. Johnson served as a senior auditor, where her achievements included designing and implementing a novel risk assessment methodology to identify potentially noncompliant importers, leading national audit operations, and facilitating training and modernization projects.

Ms. Johnson holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
