About The Webinar

International treaties and U.S. law regulate the trade of endangered species and extend to approximately 40,000 species of plants and animals.  Protections under the Endangered Species Act and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) extend to both plants and animals, including animal byproducts that may be routinely used in research and production. Many companies, particularly in the agriculture, biopharma, life sciences, and fashion industries, need to be aware of the legal requirements under the ESA and CITES that could affect their goods.

This introductory webinar will provide an overview of the international treaty on endangered species, U.S. laws and regulations, and how best to comply.
