About The Webinar

The Treasury Department is considering additional restrictions on U.S. outbound investments in national security technologies and countries of concern. Under a recent proposed rule U.S. persons would be prohibited from engaging in specified transactions involving semiconductors and microelectronics, quantum information technologies, and artificial intelligence, while other types of transactions would have to first be notified to Treasury. The restrictions would initially apply to China, Hong Kong, and Macau but could be extended to other locations in the future.

This webinar will review the framework of the outbound investment rules as currently proposed, when the rules may become final, how these rules will impact companies (including those involved in private equity transactions), and more.
