About The Webinar

Seemingly small document deficiencies can lead to significant duty assessments. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has strict standards for enforcement of claims for duty-free treatment for textile products, apparel and bags under free trade agreements and duty preference programs. Many importers receive verification notices months after the date of entry with tight timelines to respond and support their claims.

Join us for a comprehensive discussion of free trade agreement and duty preference documentation and recordkeeping for textile products, apparel & bags.

Contact webinarorganizers@strtrade.com if you have issues registering. Please note we do not take American Express.

Key Topics

  • timelines for responding to verification requests;
  • Variations in self-certification standards;
  • recordkeeping requirements and penalties; and
  • best practices for documents to verify duty preference claims.
