The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced the rates it will charge meat and poultry establishments, egg products plants, and importers and exporters in 2019 for providing voluntary, overtime, and holiday inspection and identification, certification, and laboratory services. The 2019 rates will be applied beginning Jan. 20 and are as follows (per hour/per employee).

- basetime: $59.96 (up from $57.52)

- overtime: $74.76 (up from $72.24)

- holiday: $89.56 (up from $86.88)

- laboratory: $75.56 (up from $73.20)
