The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Athens Economic Development Corporation, grantee of FTZ 269, a request for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework. The proposed service area would be the city of Athens, Texas, within and adjacent to the Dallas-Fort Worth U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. If this request is approved the grantee would be able to serve sites throughout this area based on companies’ needs for FTZ designation. Comments on this request are due no later than May 1.
