The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has issued a final rule that, effective Oct. 31, amends the Global Terrorism Sanctions Regulations to impose terrorism-related sanctions against foreign persons that are officials, agents, or affiliates of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This change, which is required by the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act of 2017, generally blocks and prohibits all transactions in all property and interests in property of such individuals.
