U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that, effective Sept. 17, commercial and other traffic that normally uses the Amistad Dam International Bridge and the Del Rio International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas, is being directed 57 miles east to the Eagle Pass port of entry. CBP said it has temporarily closed the Del Rio POE “to respond to urgent safety and security needs presented by an influx of migrants into Del Rio.”
