The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements is accepting comments through March 13 on a request to remove certain three-thread circular knit fleece fabrics classified under HTSUS 6001.21.0000 from the CAFTA-DR short supply list. These fabrics are used for casual knit sportswear such as crew-neck pullovers, zip-front hooded jackets, and elastic-waist and drawstring-waist pull-on pants. A U.S. company now claims that it is capable of supplying this fabric in commercial quantities in a timely manner from a factory in Honduras and that the company that originally requested the short supply designation appears to no longer be in business.
