The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has extended from Oct. 16 to Nov. 19 the deadline for comments on a request from The Coleman Company Inc., operator of subzone 119I, for additional production authority for its facility in Sauk Rapids, Minn. The FTZ Board is also considering a request by Coleman to hold a public hearing.

The Coleman facility is used for the production of personal flotation devices and cushions constructed with textile fabrics, and the request seeks to remove a restriction in a previous grant of authority that precludes inverted tariff benefits on foreign textile fabrics and cases/bags of textiles materials used in this production. The request also seeks to add several new components to Coleman’s scope of authority.
