President Trump has established a new Interagency Committee on Trade in Automotive Goods to provide advice on the implementation, enforcement, and modification of provisions of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement that relate to automotive goods, including the automotive rules of origin and the alternative staging regime. The committee will also review the operation of the agreement with respect to trade in automotive goods, including the effects of the automotive origin rules on the U.S. economy, workers, and consumers, as well as the impact of new technology on such rules.

The committee will include representatives from USTR, the departments of Commerce and Labor, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the International Trade Commission.
