Background

The Fish and Wildlife Service reports that it has launched a new electronic permitting system (ePermits) that will accept applications for all permits other than import/export licenses and designated port exception permits. Such permits include those related to migratory birds, the Endangered Species Act, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, and the Wild Bird Conservation Act.

The FWS Office of Law Enforcement will continue to process import/export licenses and designated port exception permits independent of the ePermits platform. More information can be found here.
