Background

Exclusions from the Section 301 additional tariffs on imports from China for 99 medical care products needed to address the COVID-19 pandemic are being extended through Sept. 30, 2021. These exclusions had been scheduled to expire March 31, but the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has determined that it is “inappropriate” to allow them to lapse given ongoing efforts to combat the pandemic.

The exclusions (click here for full list) are available for any product that meets the specified HTSUS numbers and product descriptions, regardless of whether the importer filed an exclusion request.
