Background

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced the following regarding functionality being deployed in the Automated Commercial Environment.

- the expansion of the foreign-trade zone identification number from seven to nine digits in the electronic FTZ admission applications test has been delayed from Jan. 25 to April 25

- an enhancement enabling CBP users, with port director/center director approval, to extend the time period for warehouse withdrawals against a warehouse summary will be deployed Jan. 16

- beginning Jan. 25 importers, brokers, and filers will have to submit an Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service core message set in ACE when they file entry for imports of APHIS-regulated plants, plant products, animal products, or live dogs
