In patent infringement investigation 337-TA-1028 of mobile device holders and components thereof, the International Trade Commission has determined that the appropriate form of relief is (a) a general exclusion order directed against products that infringe one or more of the patent claims asserted by complainant Nite Ize Inc. and (b) cease and desist orders prohibiting 16 respondents from importing, selling, offering for sale, marketing, advertising, distributing, offering for sale, transferring (except for exportation), or soliciting U.S. agents or distributors of infringing goods.
The president now has 60 days to review the ITC’s proposed remedies. The ITC has determined that infringing goods may continue to enter the U.S. during this period under a 100 percent bond.
