Hand Dryers. The International Trade Commission has terminated trade dress infringement investigation 337-TA-1015 of hand dryers and housings for hand dryers with respect to two respondents based on separate consent orders between them and complainant Excel Dryer Inc.
Self-Balancing Vehicles. In investigation 337-TA-1000 of motorized self-balancing vehicles, which includes claims of patent infringement, false advertising, misrepresentation, and unfair competition, the ITC has found five respondents in default for failure to respond to the complaint.
Integrated Circuits. The ITC has instituted investigation 337-TA-1024 to determine whether imports of integrated circuits with voltage regulators and products containing same are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The products at issue are microprocessors incorporating voltage regulating integrated circuits with voltage spike protection as well as computer products that incorporate such microprocessors, such as laptops, desktops, and servers.
Complainant R2 Semiconductor Inc. requests that after this investigation the ITC issue a limited exclusion order, which would direct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to prohibit the entry of infringing products into the U.S., and cease and desist orders, which would require the named respondents to cease actions that violate Section 337, including selling infringing imported articles out of U.S. inventory. The respondents in this investigation are located in Ireland, Vietnam, Israel, Malaysia, China, and the U.S.
