Resealable Packages. The International Trade Commission has instituted investigation 337-TA-962 to determine whether imports of certain resealable packages with slider devices are violating Section 337 of the 1930 Tariff Act by reason of patent infringement. The complainant is requesting the ITC to issue a general exclusion order (or, alternatively, a limited exclusion order) as well as cease and desist orders. The two respondents in this investigations are located in the United States.

Wireless Devices. The ITC on Dec. 30, 2014 instituted a Section 337 investigation of certain wireless devices, including mobile phones and tablets, from Singapore and Taiwan. The complainant and respondents on May 13 filed a joint motion to terminate the investigation based on a settlement agreement. The ITC has determined to grant that motion and terminate the proceeding in its entirety.
