3G Mobile Handsets. The International Trade Commission has terminated without the imposition of import restrictions patent infringement investigation 337-TA-613 of certain 3G mobile handsets and components thereof. The ITC determined that the importation, sale for importation, and sale within the U.S. after importation of the subject goods did not violate two patents alleged by InterDigital Communications Corp. and InterDigital Technology Corp.
Denim Garments. The ITC has narrowed the scope of its ongoing patent infringement investigation of laser-abraded denim garments by removing five respondents. The products at issue in this investigation are denim garments, including jeans and leggings, that have been abraded with a laser to apply designs or to simulate wear.
The original complaint by RevoLaze LLC and TechnoLines LLC alleged the infringement of 71 claims of six U.S. patents. The ITC initially named 20 respondents and later added nine more but is now terminating five of those nine on the basis of individual settlements.
