FTZs are aiding Asian trade expansion, ST&R attorney says

India may abandon proposed trade package with U.S.

“India may take up the GSP issue with the US, design a trade package minus the GSP, may provide some support to the impacted industries, work out within or outside the World Trade Organization (WTO) norms or abandon the India-US trade package. The agenda also includes deciding on whether to retaliate with high import duty on 29 items from the US from April 1.”

U.S., Israel to discuss upgrading agricultural trade pact

“Since signing the free-trade agreement more than three decades ago, Israel’s economic output has expanded about 13 times. The agricultural pact between the allies was last updated in 2004.

In a 2018 review of foreign trade barriers, the U.S. highlighted the increase in sales that could result from reduced levies on processed food in Israel, including dairy products.”
