U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice stating that for ACE cargo release entries moving in-bond from foreign-trade zone facilities to bonded warehouses the bill of lading type “FTZ withdrawal” does not generate an arrival message, which is necessary for ACE cargo release processing to occur. CBP advises that for any entries in this scenario that remain in “admissible” status after successful submission and manual release by ports, if applicable, filers should contact their client representative and reference existing ticket # INC000002914731. CBP notes that its ACE cargo release team is working on an update that should be deployed to production by Sept. 9.
