The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the City of Mobile, grantee of FTZ 82, a notification of proposed production activity at the Aker Solutions Inc. facility in Mobile, Ala. Aker already has authority for the production of undersea umbilicals within site 7 of FTZ 82 and the current request would add finished products and foreign status materials and components to the scope of authority. Comments are due by Jan. 22.

In addition, the FTZ Board has approved the following.

- expansion of subzone 28B at the Orgill Inc. facility in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

- production under zone procedures at the Eastman Kodak Company facility within subzone 106F in Weatherford, Okla., which will be used to produce flexographic plates

- production under zone procedures at the Nisshinbo Automotive Manufacturing Inc. facility within FTZ 26 in Covington, Ga., which will be used to assemble and produce automotive brake pads

- the addition of a foreign-status material to the scope of production authority at the Voestalpine Texas LLC facility within subzone 122T in Portland, Texas, which is used to produce hot briquetted iron and related byproducts
