Background

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the City of Springfield Airport Board, grantee of FTZ 225, a request for authority to expand its zone under the alternative site framework to include a new magnet site at the Neosho Industrial Park in Neosho, Mo., adjacent to the Springfield U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. Comments on this request are due no later than Oct. 13.

The FTZ has authorized production under zone procedures at the Cormetech Inc. facilities in Cleveland, Tenn., within FTZ 134, and Durham, N.C., within FTZ 93. These facilities are used for the production of selective catalyst reduction catalysts and related elements used for emissions reduction in power generation, industrial, marine and petrochemical applications.

The FTZ has approved the establishment of subzone 191A at the Michaels Stores Procurement Company Inc. in Lancaster, Calif.
