The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized an expansion of production authority at the Deere-Hitachi Construction Machinery Corp. facility within FTZ 230 in Kernersville, N.C. DHCMC already had authority to produce finished and unfinished hydraulic excavators within sites 30 and 32 of FTZ 230 and the Board has now added forestry machinery, forestry machinery frames/booms/arms, and hydraulic excavator frames/booms/arms to the scope of authority.
The FTZ Board has authorized an expansion of production authority at the Lilly del Caribe Inc. facility in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Lilly del Caribe already had authority to produce the active ingredients humalog, duloxetine, abemaciclib, and barcitinib within subzone 7K and the Board has now added a finished product and a foreign status material/component to the scope of authority.
The FTZ Board has received from the Port of Freeport, Texas, grantee of FTZ 149, a notification of proposed production activity at the DSM Nutritional Products LLC facility in Freeport, Texas. DSM already has authority to produce beta carotene crystalline, C-25 aldehyde, and vinyl salt within subzone 149B and the current request would add a finished product (vinylol-pure and crude) to the scope of authority. Comments are due no later than Oct. 29.
