The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Port of Corpus Christi Authority, grantee of FTZ 122, a notification of proposed production activity at the voestalpine Texas LLC facility within subzone 122T in Portland, Texas. This facility is currently under construction and will be used for the production of hot briquetted iron using foreign-sourced iron ore pellets, most of which will be exported. Comments on this notification are due no later than July 15.

The FTZ Board has approved expanded production authority at the Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations LLC facility within FTZ 134 in Chattanooga, Tenn. VGACO already had authority to produce passenger sedans, sport utility vehicles and minivans within site 3 of FTZ 134, and the FTZ Board has now added certain foreign-status materials and components to the scope of authority.
