The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from Black & Decker (U.S.) Inc. a notification of proposed production activity for its facility within FTZ 12 in Mission, Texas, which will be used for the manufacture and assembly of cordless indoor and outdoor power tools and power tool components (batteries, plastic injection molded parts, cordless motors, and certain subassemblies) and the packaging and kitting of power tools with their components. Comments on this notification are due no later than July 23.

The FTZ Board has received from the Piedmont Triad Partnership, grantee of FTZ 230, a notification of proposed production activity for the Patheon Softgels facility in High Point, N.C. Patheon already has authority to produce certain prescription pharmaceutical products and soft gelatin capsules within subzone 230C and the additional FTZ authority would be limited to the foreign-status materials and components and finished products described in the notification and subsequently authorized by the FTZ Board. Comments are due by July 23.

The FTZ Board has received from the Ellis County Trade Zone Corporation, grantee of FTZ 113, a request for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework to cover a service area of Navarro County, Texas, adjacent to the Dallas/Fort Worth U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry.

The FTZ Board has authorized production under zone procedures at the Panasonic Eco Solutions Solar new York America facility within subzone 23E in Buffalo, N.Y., which is used for the production of crystalline silicon photovoltaic solar panels and modules.
