Background

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved production under zone procedures at the General Electric Transportation facilities within subzone 196B in Fort Worth and Haslet, Texas, which are used for the manufacturing, kitting, repairing, warehousing and distribution of locomotives, off-highway vehicle wheels, OHV inverters, OHV brake systems, locomotive components, OHV components and drill equipment. This authorization is subject to a requirement that inputs classified under HTSUS subheadings 5603.94, 5607.50, 5909.00, 6305.20, 6307.90, 7019.19 and 7019.51, as well as headings 3208 and 3209, be admitted to the subzone in privileged foreign status or domestic status.

The FTZ Board has approved the reorganization of FTZ 191 under the alternative site framework with a service area of a portion of Los Angeles County, Calif., adjacent to the Los Angeles/Long Beach U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry.
