The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved an expansion of production authority at the Tesla Inc. facilities within subzone 126D in Sparks and McCarran, Nev. Tesla already had authority to produce lithium-ion batteries, electric motors, and stationary energy storage systems within this subzone and the Board has now added three foreign status materials and components to the scope of authority.
The FTZ Board has received from the Municipal Airport Authority of the City of Fargo, grantee of FTZ 267, a request for subzone status for the Digi-Key Corporation facility in Fargo, N.D. No authorization for production activity has been requested at this time. Comments are due no later than Nov. 12.
The FTZ Board has received from the Port of Corpus Christi Authority, grantee of FTZ 122, a request for subzone status for the Gulf Coast Growth Ventures LLC facilities in San Patricio County, Texas. Comments are due no later than Nov. 12. A notification of proposed production activity has been submitted and will be published separately for public comment.
