Forklifts. The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized an expansion of production under zone procedures at the Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. facility within FTZ 84 in Houston, Texas. MCFA already had authority to produce forklift trucks (class I through class V) powered by gasoline, propane or electric motors within site 27 of FTZ 84 and certain foreign-status components are now being added to the scope of authority.

Flotation Devices. The FTZ Board will hold a public hearing Feb. 24, 2016, to further consider a request from The Coleman Company Inc., operator of subzone 119I, for additional production authority for its facility in Sauk Rapids, Minn. The Board has also extended the comment period on this request through March 11.

This facility is used for the production of personal flotation devices and cushions constructed with textile fabrics, and the request seeks to remove a restriction in a previous grant of authority that precludes inverted tariff benefits on foreign textile fabrics and cases/bags of textiles materials used in this production. The request also seeks to add several new components to Coleman’s scope of authority.
