The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the City of San Jose, grantee of FTZ 18, a request for expanded subzone status for the Tesla Inc. facilities in Livermore, Calif. Because some of the sites of the proposed expanded subzone are outside FTZ 18’s alternative site framework service area, authorization of the expanded subzone would not be under the ASF. Comments are due no later than April 22.

The FTZ Board has received from the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation, grantee of FTZ 16, a request for authority to reorganize the zone under the alternative site framework. The proposed service area would be Chippewa County, Mich., within and adjacent to the Sault Ste. Marie U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. Comments are due by April 22.

The FTZ Board has authorized an expansion of production authority at the International Flavors and Fragrances Inc. facility within subzone 44B. in Hazlet, N.J. IFF already had authority to produce flavor and fragrance products within this subzone and the Board has now added 16 foreign-status materials and components to the scope of authority.
