The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued separate orders suspending the export privileges of the following.

- a United Arab Emirates individual convicted of willfully conspiring to export and causing the export of numerous types of goods, including optical and telescopic equipment and several sets of gas turbine mobile generators, to Iran without the required U.S. government authorization (ten-year suspension; previously sentenced to 15 months in prison and a $100 special assessment)

- an individual convicted of willfully conspiring to export and causing the export of goods and technology from Canada to Iran, as well as related services from the U.S. to Iran, without the required license from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (five-year suspension; previously sentenced to 12 months in prison, 100 hours of community service, and a $100 assessment)

- an individual convicted of willfully and knowingly exporting ablative materials used as a protective coating for rocket nozzles to Taiwan without the required State Department license, as well as a related company (ten-year suspension; previously sentenced to 78 months in prison and a $200 assessment)

As a result, for five or ten years from their respective convictions neither these entities nor anyone on their behalf may directly or indirectly participate in any way in any transaction involving any commodity, software, or technology exported or to be exported from the U.S. that is subject to the Export Administration Regulations. BIS is also revoking all export licenses in which these entities had an interest at the time of their convictions.
