The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued two orders suspending for approximately ten years the export privileges of two men convicted of knowingly and willfully exporting to the Philippines various firearms and firearms accessories designated on the U.S. Munitions List without first obtaining the required license or written approval from the State Department. These men were previously sentenced to 36 months’ imprisonment, three years of supervised release and a $100 assessment.

As a result, until March 27, 2025, neither of these two men nor anyone on their behalf may directly or indirectly participate in any way in any transaction involving any commodity, software or technology exported or to be exported from the U.S. that is subject to the Export Administration Regulations. BIS is also revoking all export licenses in which these men had an interest at the time of their conviction.
