The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Sept. 6 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials and related technology.

The open session of the upcoming meeting will include a presentation on United Nations weapons inspections in pre-war Iraq, a recent notice of inquiry for sprayers and foggers, and a report by multilateral regime representatives. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis; requests to join are due no later than Aug. 30. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at this session but reservations are not accepted.
