The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Processing Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Aug. 7 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials processing equipment and related technology.

The open session of the upcoming meeting will include a discussion on the results and proposals from the last Wassenaar Arrangement meeting, a report on proposed and recently issued changes to the Export Administration Regulations, the proposed cyber rule circulated in June, and industry 4.0 and new technologies. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis and requests to join the conference are due no later than July 31. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session but reservations are not accepted.
