The International Trade Data System Committee of the Trade Support Network is seeking no later than Sept. 23 participants in a new working group that will focus on the technical solution and data elements that will be required by the Drug Enforcement Administration in the new cargo release and control functionality of ACE/ITDS. This working group is tasked with ensuring that all technical and data requirements are transitioned to ACE/ITDS in a seamless, efficient and timely manner and that the data submitted electronically to ACE via the partner government agency message set help CBP to execute its import processing and review duties.

The working group will consist of members of the international trade community, including software developers, that import DEA-regulated commodities into the U.S. Weekly teleconferences will focus on the business process and technical data flows required for the DEA message set in order to define the programming and operational guidelines to be implemented by CBP, DEA, importers and customs brokers when filing and processing entries for products subject to DEA jurisdiction. Those interested in participating in this working group should contact Frank Korpusik, Sandra Scott or Stuart Schmidt.
