The State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls has announced that effective Jan. 24 it temporarily returned to full operational status with all electronic export license application systems in normal operational mode and the daily pick-up and drop-off service restored. DDTC said priority would be placed on the issuance of licenses in the system at the time the federal government shut down on Dec. 22, 2018. While new licenses will be accepted, DDTC said there will likely be longer than normal processing times due to the high volume of licenses it expects to receive.
