U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a final rule adjusting the following customs user fees and limitations for inflation for fiscal year 2019. These adjusted fees will be required as of Oct. 1, 2018.
- commercial vessel arrival: $458.35 per arrival/$6245.97 annual cap (up from $448.70/$6,114.46)
- barge and other bulk carrier arrival: $115.37 per arrival/$1,573.29 annual cap (up from $112.95/$1,540.17)
- commercial truck arrival: $5.75 per arrival/$104.89 annual cap (up from $5.65/$102.68)
- rail car arrival: $8.65 per arrival/$104.89 annual cap (up from $8.47/$102.68)
- private vessel or aircraft first arrival/calendar year prepayment: $28.84 (up from $28.24)
- dutiable mail: $5.77 (up from $5.65)
- commercial vessel or aircraft passenger arrival: $5.77 (up from $5.65)
- customs broker permit: $144.74 (up from $141.70)
- express consignment carrier/centralized hub facility, per individual waybill/bill of lading: $0.37 minimum/$1.05 maximum (up from $0.36/$1.03)
- merchandise processing: minimum $26.22/maximum $508.70 (up from $25.67/$497.99)
- surcharge for manual entry or release: $3.15 (up from $3.08)
- informal entry or release not prepared by CBP personnel: $2.10 automated/$6.29 manual (up from $2.05/$6.16)
- informal entry or release prepared by CBP personnel: $9.44 (up from $9.24)
