U.S. Customs and Border Protection has pushed back its deployment of several functions in the Automated Commercial Environment.
Consolidated Express Filings. CBP has rescheduled its automation of manual processes for non-ABI entries from June 15 to July 27.
Mass Processing. Enhancements to the mass liquidation functionality, which will provide streamlined processing for CBP users but will not affect the trade community, will also be deployed July 27 instead of June 15. Mass update functionality will be deployed at a later date.
Document File Location. The DocFile Location application functionality, which CBP states will also not impact the trade community, will be moved into ACE and disabled in ACS as of Aug. 3 rather than June 22.
ACE functionality, including data reports, can help importers and others boost compliance and duty savings efforts. For more information, please contact customs and trade consultant Tom Gould at (661) 471-2659.
