Background

The International Trade Administration’s Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee will meet July 13 in Washington, D.C. The CINTAC provides advice on the development and administration of programs to expand U.S. exports of civil nuclear goods and services in accordance with applicable U.S. laws and regulations, including advice on how U.S. civil nuclear goods and services export policies, programs, and activities will affect the industry’s competitiveness and ability to participate in the international market.

The ITA states that the July 13 meeting will be largely closed to the public because information to be disclosed would likely significantly frustrate the implementation of proposed agency actions if were disclosed prematurely and because trade secrets, commercial or financial information, and privileged or confidential information will be disclosed.
