The Coast Guard is inviting applications by April 17 for membership on the Chemical Transportation Advisory Committee, which provides advice and makes recommendations on matters relating to the safe and secure marine transportation of hazardous materials. The Coast Guard will consider applications for ten positions that become vacant Sept. 17 in the categories of chemical manufacturing, marine handling or transportation of chemicals, vessel design and construction, marine safety or security, and marine environmental protection. Each member will serve for a term of three years and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.
