U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that during the week of June 27 the following Atlanta port codes will be deactivated and the trade community will no longer be able to use them on bills of lading or in-bond movements.
- 1402: Newport News, Va.
- 1403: Norfolk Subport
- 1599: Wilmington Cartage Control
CBP states that this step is part of a process under which it has identified port codes associated to facilities that are no longer active and will be deactivating them one field office at a time.
