The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has received a short supply request alleging that certain 100 percent polyester two-ply yarn classified under HTSUS subheading 5402.33.60 is not available in commercial quantities in a timely manner from a supplier in the DR-CAFTA countries. The petitioner is requesting that this yarn be added to the CAFTA-DR short supply list in unrestricted quantity. This would allow duty-free imports of apparel made in CAFTA-DR countries with this yarn regardless of its origin.

Responses with an offer to supply this yarn are due no later than June 15.

If your company is interested in exploring a short supply petition, please contact Nicole Bivens Collinson or Mark Tallo.
