U.S. Customs and Border Protection states that effective Aug. 21 the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas, will process all commodity lines. Hours of operation for both the World Trade Bridge and the Colombia Solidarity Bridge remain the same.
This is the latest step in CBP’s continuing efforts to restore full operations at the WTB following significant damage from a May 21 storm. CBP had previously resumed processing at this facility of empty tractors and trailers, informal entries, shipments from FAST-certified companies, agriculture (perishables), automotive products, machinery, electronics, base metals, and goods regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. CBP expects to return to full operations at its reconstructed permanent facilities at the WTB in October.
