Solar Panels. Effective April 5, the International Trade Administration is revoking the antidumping duty orders on crystalline silicon photovoltaic products from China and Taiwan and the countervailing duty order on such goods from China with respect to solar panels that are (1) less than 300,000 mm2 in surface area, (2) less than 27.1 watts in power, (3) coated across their entire surface with a polyurethane doming resin, and (4) joined to a battery charging and maintaining unit by coated wires that include a connector to permit the incorporation of an extension cable.
The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to liquidate without regard to AD and CV duties, and to refund any estimated AD or CV duties collected on, all unliquidated entries of such goods that were entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after June 10, 2014 (CV) or July 31, 2014 (AD).
Carton Closing Staples. The International Trade Commission has instituted and scheduled the preliminary phase of an AD injury investigation of carton closing staples from China. A conference will be held April 20, requests to appear at the conference are due by April 18, written submissions are due by April 26, and the ITC’s preliminary determination is due by May 15.
