Background

Oil Country Tubular Goods. The International Trade Administration has extended through July 10, 2019, the agreement suspending its antidumping duty investigation of OCTG from Ukraine.

Rubber Bands. The ITA has made a preliminary affirmative countervailing duty determination on rubber bands from China and a preliminary negative CV duty determination on rubber bands from Thailand. As a result, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to collect CV cash deposits on entries of subject goods from China at the preliminary net subsidy rate of 125.77 percent. No CV cash deposits will be required for subject goods from Thailand.

Sodium Gluconate. The ITA has made a preliminary affirmative dumping determination on sodium gluconate, gluconic acid, and derivative products from China. As a result, the ITA will instruct CBP to collect AD cash deposits on entries of subject goods at the preliminary dumping margin of 213.15 percent.

Activated Carbon. In its sunset review of the AD duty order on activated carbon from China the ITC has determined that revocation of this order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the U.S. within a reasonably foreseeable time. As a result, this order will remain in place.
