Background

The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases.

Corrosion-resistant steel – preliminary determinations that (a) imports of certain corrosion-resistant steel products completed in Malaysia using hot-rolled steel and/or cold-rolled steel flat products manufactured in Taiwan are circumventing the AD duty order on CORE from Taiwan, (b) imports of certain CORE completed in Guatemala or South Africa are not circumventing the AD/CV duty orders on CORE from China, and (c) imports of certain CORE completed in Costa Rica, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates using HRS and/or CRS manufactured in China are circumventing the AD/CV duty orders on CORE from China

Engines – initiation of AD and CV duty investigations of vertical shaft engines between 223cc and 999cc and parts thereof from China, to include allegations of critical circumstances

Threaded rod – final affirmative AD and CV duty determinations on carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from China and India, with dumping margins of 4.26 to 59.45 percent for China and 2.47 and 28.34 percent for India and net subsidy rates of 31.02 to 66.81 percent for China and 6.07 and 211.72 percent for India
