Background

The International Trade Administration and the International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and countervailing duty cases.

Cold-rolled steel – subsidy rates of 0.54 and 0.56 percent in amended final results of administrative review of CV duty order on cold-rolled steel flat products from Korea for the period July 29 through Dec. 31, 2016

Collated steel staples – initiation of AD/CV duty investigations of collated steel staples from China (AD/CV), Korea (AD), and Taiwan (AD), with alleged dumping margins of 119.37 to 122.55 percent for China, 10.23 to 14.25 percent for Korea, and 47.6 percent for Taiwan

New sunset reviews – initiation of sunset reviews, which can result in revocation or continuation, of the AD and/or CV duty orders on the following products

- malleable cast iron pipe fittings from China (AD)

- steel threaded rod from China (AD)

- polyethylene terephthalate film from India (AD/CV) and Taiwan (AD)

Softwood lumber – subsidy rates of 0.05 to 5.80 percent and exclusion in final results of expedited review of CV duty order on softwood lumber products from Canada and exclusion of certain producers and exporters from this order

Steel plate – dumping margin of 174.03 percent for one company in final results of administrative review of AD duty order on carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from Germany for the period Nov. 14, 2016, through April 30, 2018
