The International Trade Administration and/or International Trade Commission have recently announced the following actions in antidumping and/or countervailing duty cases.

Cigarettes – initiation of AD duty investigation of fourth tier cigarettes from Korea, with alleged dumping margins of 7.1 to 113.06 percent and preliminary determination due by May 26

Corrosion-resistant steel – (a) exclusion of goods produced and exported by one entity from the scope of the AD duty order on corrosion-resistant steel products from India pursuant to court decision and (b) correction to affirmative final determination of circumvention of AD and CV duty orders on CORE from Korea to clarify that five companies are eligible for the certification process with regard to hot-rolled steel and cold-rolled steel from Korea

Mechanical tubing – rescission of administrative review of AD duty order on cold-drawn mechanical tubing of carbon and alloy steel from China for the period Nov. 22, 2017, through May 31, 2019, and instruction to CBP to assess AD duties on entries of such goods at the applicable cash deposit rates

PET film – dumping margin of zero for one manufacturer/exporter in final results of administrative review of AD duty order on polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet, and strip from Taiwan for the period July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018

Pipe fittings – final determination that Wor-Biz Industrial Product Co. Ltd. is the successor-in-interest to Wor-Biz Trading Co. Ltd. and is therefore entitled to its AD and CV cash deposit rates with respect to cast iron soil pipe fittings from China, which are currently 33.44 percent and 7.37 percent, respectively
